We have a few business comings and goings to tell you about, plus some new liquor license applications.

Greenwood Alternative Medicine has opened in the spot that briefly was home to The High Class, at 7601 Greenwood Ave. N., Suite 100 (and was Pelayo Antiques for years before that; the old antique store sign remains).

It opened on April 1, but will have its grand opening on April 20. Phone is 206-457-8917.

Balderdash Books & Art at 8536 Greenwood Ave. N. is closing on May 15. In October, owner Vanessa Ormiston told us the store would close at the end of May.

Allusia, which sells home decor and accessories, is expanding into the space recently vacated by Strut shoe store at 7511 Greenwood Ave. N. (the two had been sharing the space for the last several months.) According to the sign in the window, Allusia is doing some remodeling and plans to reopen soon.

Ken’s Market at 7231 Greenwood Ave. N. and Bartell Drugs at 120 N. 85th St. have applied for liquor licenses to sell spirits starting on June 1, when the state gets out of the business. Emerald City Orchids, 716 NW 65th St., has applied for a liquor license to sell beer and wine in its new café.
